Citizens detained in Miami-Dade County for Making Public Records Request

On Thursday, September 12, 2013, in the city of Hialeah, Mayor Carlos Hernandez and Mayoral Chief of Staff Arnie Alonzo have citizens detained in Miami-Dade County for Making Public Records Request.

We are on the verge of making a Public Records Request for our Potted Plants are Illegal issue, but this makes me very nervous about going.

“The crime was people were in fear”

There were too many people in their group?  Isn’t the right to assembly protected by the constitution? How many people is too many?

The Florida Public Records Law does not allow the custodian of the record to ask citizens to complete forms when making Public Records Requests.

There are major issues with transparency in ALL of MIAMI-DADE County!

What is going on here?
